Union Bowlers qualify for State Meeting

Union High School qualified two female athletes for State in Bowling.  Emily Grochowalski and Quennie Newton will be participating at Northway Lanes in Muskegon on Saturday March 2,2013.  Northway Lanes is located off the Laketon Ave. exit from HWY 31 in Muskegon.
 
The times for the tournament:
 
8:00 am opening ceremonies
1:30 quarter finals
2:30 semi finals
3:30 finals

Two Ottawa Hills bowlers have qualified for the MHSAA State Individual Meet held on Saturday March 2nd at Century Lanes in Waterford, MI.

Mack Smith scores Perfect Game

Mack Smith is a senior that attends Grand Rapids Central high school. He has bowled for Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills for three years and has been the captain for two. Mack is averaging a 205 so far this season and in the recent Grand Rapids Union invitational, Mack scored a perfect game in bowling a 300. Mack has verbally committed to attend Davenport University and plans to bowl for the Panthers next fall. He wants to major in Security Management and he plans to make a career in homeland security after completion of his degree.
