Involvement at City High-Middle School includes Community Service. We believe our students should develop a sense of responsibility and commitment to their community by volunteering at least 20 hours per year to community service groups or other non-profit organizations. The hours must be completed at a non-profit organization or a profit-making organization in a non-profit capacity. There are countless opportunities to serve in our community. The museums, libraries, schools, churches, Blandford Nature Center, God’s Kitchen, United Way, the Veteran’s Home or any assisted living facility all have activities that need extra hands to help.

Community Service hours should be turned in the month they are served. PLEASE BE SURE TO FILL OUT THE FORM COMPLETELY. Parent’s signatures are not accepted.  Community Service forms are available outside the office or by using the link below.

Community Service Due Dates:

October 22 -                5 hours (or more)

December 17 -             5 hours (or more)

February 11 -               5 hours (or more)

April 15 -                     5 hours (all community service should be completed by this date)

• Place the completed community service forms in the wooden boxes outside the office according to grade.
• Students’ accumulated community service hours will be posted on the bulletin board located in the cafeteria.
• This same bulletin board will display up-to-date service opportunities, so check it often.  Also, check the City PTSA website “CityViews” at www.cityptsa.com under Message Center, then Community Service for more opportunities.
