SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE ANDY DILLON TO HOST FORUM AT CRESTON!
Tomorrow/Friday, July 2nd at 10am in Creston High School's cafeteria Michigan Speaker of the House Andy Dillon, a Democratic gubernatorial candidate, is hosting a forum that, among other things, will discuss his positions on K-12 public education in Michigan. Specifically Speaker Dillon will be addressing the current threat to raid the School Aid Fund and divert funds to other parts of the state budget.
As the campaign season heats up, we encourage all concerned stakeholders to take time to get to know the candidates, learn about their positions on the issues, and get involved. This event is an opportunity to meet Speaker Dillon, learn more about his policy positions, and share your thoughts and concerns about funding and policy issues related to GRPS and public education. It is critically important that our stakeholders take the time to get to know ALL the candidates for office, particularly at the state and federal level, and ensure they hear from us about the need for public education to be a priority focus for the state and country.
The event is open to the public. It is independently organized and NOT a GRPS sponsored event.
