Executive Director of High Schools, Pre-K-12 Schools, and Alternative Education
The division provides effective leadership in developing and supporting principals as effective instructional leaders. The primary work includes the further development, support and monitoring of high school teachers in the acquisition and delivery of rich content and best teaching practices. The work is expected to result in major changes in the way high school principals lead and develop the instructional program and monitor and give feedback to teacher performance and student learning.
The division also monitors GradeBook and supports principals in the development of programs of study to increase student success. The division is responsible for working with school staff in developing a school culture and climate necessary for increasing student achievement, preparing students for college and careers and monitoring students' progress toward graduation. We also work collaboratively with other departments to align all resources to ensure a smooth implementation of high quality instructional and student support programming in each school.
